TEC Edmonton is a not-for-profit agency that helps transform technological inventions and innovations into business opportunities. TEC Edmonton helps inventors, entrepreneurs, companies and investors access expertise, facilities, management and financing to succeed in technology ventures. TEC is an acronym for TEC Edmonton’s goal to support Technology, Entrepreneur and Company development. Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, our TEC Centre is a business incubator, offering early stage businesses a base for operations.

TEC Edmonton is a joint venture between the University of Alberta and the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation.

  Specializes in technology evaluation (Report of Inventions), intellectual property protection and licensing technology.
• TEC Source
  First contact for inventors and entrepreneurs in the Edmonton area.
• Entrepreneur Skills Development
  Includes Business Basics for Innovators (BBFI): a five-part series of applied, hands-on sessions modeled after The GrowthWheel™.
• TEC VenturePrize
  A province-wide business plan competition helping entrepreneurs grow businesses through training, mentoring and incentives.
• Go-To-Market
  The Go-To-Market program and workshops combine a comprehensive go-to-market curriculum with applied learning, access to experts and one-on-one mentoring.
• TEC Business Development
  Advanced technology based companies may be selected for longer-term help and mentoring from our market analysis team and out Exectives in Residence.
• Ingenuity Enterprise
  is a joint effort of TEC Edmonton and Calgary’s University Technologies International (UTI).
• Alberta Deal Generator
  helps companies become investment ready and then connects them with a network of angel investors.
• TEC Center
  A full-service business incubator facility for technology start-ups.
• Technology Licensing Database
