The Business Link is a not-for-profit organization supported by the Government of Canada (through Western Economic Diversification) and the Government of Alberta (through Alberta Treasury Board and Enterprise). While most services are free, a small fee may apply to certain publications, seminars and other enhanced services. We also work with a network of business development centres across the province to ensure you have access to resources in your region.

Our business specialists are always ready to discuss your business needs in confidence. We will provide you with free information and advice on everything from start-up, incorporation, financing and loan programs, to product sourcing, e-business, exporting, importing, and government and private sector programs and services.

For your business research needs, take full advantage of our amazing resources and staff. You'll find books, periodicals, tapes, directories, buyers guides, statistics, demographics and online subscription databases. Our experienced research staff will help find the information you need.
Small business training with big impact
Designed to save you time and money, our "quick-to-learn, quick-to-use" small business learning sessions are presented by qualified business speakers. They cover the basics of business planning, marketing, taxation, and much more. Many sessions are available across the province via video conference through the Entrepreneurship Learning Centre Network. Contact us to find out which sessions are in your community.

Through our specialized Aboriginal Business Development Services, we provide business information, advice and referral services to meet the unique needs of Aboriginal Albertans.
Helping entrepreneurial newcomers to Canada
If you are new to Canada and are looking to start and grow a business in Alberta, we can help! We’ve developed resources and training to specifically assist Immigrant Entrepreneurs. Our multi-talented staff can serve you in a number of languages, in addition to English and French.
The Business Link hosts a monthly networking event at both our Edmonton and Calgary locations to provide opportunities for you to connect with your fellow business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs.
